Ralph

Ralph

Ralph the rabbit never felt this way before and was getting grumpier and grumpier.

Finally he could bear it no more.

"I WANT TO GO HOME!" Ralph exploded at the cat.

"You are home," said the cat.

"NO I'M NOT!"

"Yes you are," said the cat.

"NO I'M NOT!"

"Yes you are," insisted the cat.

Ralph took a deep breath and then exploded, "I Want To Go HOME! I WANT TO GO HOME! I WANT TO GO HOME! I want to go to MY home. Not this one."

"You said that already," remarked the cat.

"I want to go home, I want to go home, I want to go home, I want to go home."

Ralph repeated this over and over and over again. The cat listened to him say it several times and then said, "You're not going to get home by saying that. In fact you're barely going to get home at all if you keep saying that."

"I don't have anywhere else to go," replied Ralph.

"Well, you could try going through that door over there," said the cat.

"What door?"

"That door," said the cat.

"That door?"

"That door," said the cat.

So Ralph went to the door.

"Where does this door lead?" he asked.

"I don't know," said the cat. "I've never been through it."

Ralph peered at the door. "I don't know how to open it," he said.

"Well, I can't help you with that," said the cat.

"Can you open it?" asked the rabbit.

"I could," said the cat, "but I won't."
