RABBIT_TAKEOVER · Narrative edition
Gatsby
The war was raging, and everyone had taken to the fields. Rabbits, long used to the chaos and danger of a war-torn land, had burrowed deep underground. Their nimble bodies and lack of fear had allowed them to be surprisingly successful in their mission of dugouts and foxholes. It was clear that they understood the gravity of the situation, as if they had known of something far beyond our human comprehension.
We were sure that they were aware of what was coming and had taken necessary steps to protect themselves. Some of us whispered that they were the ones who had started the chain of misunderstandings between nations, but others believed that they had been manipulated into doing something they did not understand. Still, we could not deny their courage and adaptability as we watched them seek shelter.
The war was raging, and yet, even in its midst, the rabbits seemed to thrive. We made a silent pact that we would do all that we could to protect the creatures of the land, and never again allow them to be put in such a precarious position.
We silently gathered up our weapons, and with a deep respect for the rabbits, we vowed to keep their secrets and protect them at all costs.
