The memory was vague. It was a far away time when things were different, a time of rabbits and circular rainbow portals that led to alternate universes.
The recollection was hazy, but there was one thing he remembered with absolute clarity: the magical feeling that came before he walked through the portal. It was a feeling of joy and anticipation, mixed with a sense of dread at the unknown.
He held those moments close, for he knew he would never experience them again. As he grew older, the portals began to close and the rabbits disappeared. He still loved to look at the sky, searching for a hint of their colors and shapes, but he knew there was nothing left to find.
Yet in his heart, he still held onto the hope that one day, the magical portals would reappear and the rabbits would return.
