The rabbit had finally found the launchpad, nestled in a crevice between two small asteroids. It had been a long and arduous journey, but now he was one step closer to returning to Rigel. The stars twinkled in the inky black sky, seemingly beckoning him to take the leap.

He approached the platform, the thought of freedom giving him a newfound sense of strength. He had to find a way to activate the controls and get back home. He searched the platform for some kind of switch, but found nothing. He pondered for a moment and then made up his mind.

With a determined hop, he leapt onto the platform. Immediately, the platform began to hum and the edges began to glow. A myriad of colors shot out and formed a star-map around him. He watched as the map changed and morphed, like a kaleidoscope of possibility. He felt the launchpad vibrate and his fur stand on end as the energy of the stars pulsed around him.

He closed his eyes and silently wished upon a star, and soon he felt a force pushing him up and into the night sky. He was back on his way to Rigel.
