It had been an unseasonably cold night, and a dense fog had rolled in off the sea, cloaking the small seaside town in a thick blanket of white. We had been expecting something strange to happen, though we'd never quite imagined this.
The first indication that something was amiss had come in the form of a distant rumbling noise, followed shortly thereafter by a brilliant flash of light. As we scrambled up onto the rooftops to get a better look, we saw it: a small, shining spaceship descending from the sky, twinkling in the pale moonlight.
The ship settled down in the middle of the town square, and out hopped a creature like none we had ever seen before: a space rabbit with three eyes, its fur shimmering an ethereal blue. We stood in shock, unable to comprehend what we were seeing. The rabbit seemed to take our silence as an invitation, and before any of us could react, its three eyes began to scan the area, taking in every detail of the town. We knew they were here to take over, we just didn't know how quickly it would all happen.
Suddenly the rabbit let out a loud, high-pitched warble, and in an instant the town was overrun with aliens of every shape and size. Before we could even blink, they had taken control of everything, from the shops to the streets to our very lives. We were powerless to resist their strange new laws and customs, and were forced to bend to their every whim.
