The first time they came saw the giant mechanical rabbit they were driving through the city not really paying attention. Ray pointed out the rabbit and the others stopped. “What the heck is that?” Ray said.

The thing looked like it had been through a war. It was rusted and dented and the fur was worn and tattered. It was as if someone had put a giant toy on a beam and forgot about it. Shelly had been staring at it for a long time. She was looking for a sign of life.” Hello-o-o-o-o-o,” she said.

“Maybe it’s on a timer,” Glen said. “Maybe it forgot where it was going and got lost.”

“Maybe someone is trapped inside it and wants to get out.” “Maybe it thinks it’s a real rabbit.”

"Maybe it’s waiting for it’s batteries to recharge,” Ray said. Shelly was about to say something when she noticed a light blinking. The rabbit seemed to shake for a moment and a little fan could be heard whirring.

“It’s alive!” Shelly said. The rabbit shook again and began to move forward. “It’s alive!” Shelly said again. She was laughing and clapping her hands. “It’s alive!”

Glen smiled.

“It’s alive! It’s alive! It’s alive!”
