ART FOX. VALUE SYNTHESIS AND AI was Anne Spalter’s first solo exhibition at EXPANDED.ART, Friedrichstraße 67, Berlin, November 7–29, 2023.
A fox is the show’s avatar for how value gets made: from mining and resource extraction to creativity, technology, social media, and NFTs. Every composition began with text-to-image AI. Anne then painted the paintings in oil and drew the drawings in charcoal by hand. For the sculptures, sections of the paintings went through an AI tool that extracts 3D models, and were 3D-printed in silk PLA. The coloring book Future Foxes completed the show.
